5. Gemma is a lightweight, family of models from Google built on Gemini technology. The Gemma 3 models are multimodal—processing text and images—and feature a 128K context window with support for over 140 languages.

6. DeepSeek-R1 has received a minor version upgrade to DeepSeek-R1-0528 for the 8 billion parameter distilled model and the full 671 billion parameter model. It performance  includes mathematics, programming, and general logic.

7. Phi-2 is a small language model capable of common-sense reasoning and language understanding. It showcases “state-of-the-art performance” among language models with less than 13 billion parameters.
